Cookies and local storage

GM Field Kit sets no first-party cookie. It separates tab continuity, optional durable product storage, cookieless measurement and advertising-provider storage that is not active today.

Functional product storage

gmfieldkit.tab.v1 in sessionStorage carries the current normalized brief, seed and up to eight pins between tools in this tab; the browser removes it when the tab session ends. “Save on this device” writes the same bounded fields to gmfieldkit.session.v1 in localStorage; “Forget saved session” removes that durable record. Initiative rows remain in memory. A #kit= share fragment is part of the link on your device and is not a cookie or a server request.

Cookieless analytics

Self-hosted Umami sets no analytics cookie or persistent browser identifier and honours Do Not Track. Its closed bridge accepts the nine event names listed on the Privacy page and no properties. Blocking the collector changes no generator, tracker, download or print action.

Advertising is inactive

Every AdSense unit id is empty, so no Google ad library, cookie or advertising request is made. If a later exact-byte release activates advertising, applicable visitors will receive a Google-certified consent or privacy choice before storage or processing that requires it. Refusal or withdrawal must remain as easy as acceptance and leaves every tool usable.

Changing a choice

Today you can reset the tab brief, use the save/forget controls, clear browser storage, enable Do Not Track, use Global Privacy Control where applicable or block third-party requests. After advertising is activated, the provider privacy control must also let you revisit or withdraw the applicable choice.
